I am back :-)
That was the longest time, since I haven’t posted anything. I can’t really believe
myself either, but I have been so occupied by preparing for the arrival for our
first baby, that everything else became secondary. Even blogging. I woke up
every morning in the last couple weeks, thinking today I must write and never
did. Somehow I started straight away sewing for the baby. We got cute fabrics
for curtains, wall covers, blankets, cot and baby duvet covers, so I have been
making these during the last few weeks. My ability to sit by the sewing
machines is quite limited by now, so after a while I have to do something else.
And of course I’ve been making maternity trousers and tops for myself including
nightgowns I can fit my bump in :-)
There is so much to do, at some point I felt all I was doing buying fabrics,
washing and sewing them, but it is without a doubt a rewarding task for a
mum-to-be. We are planning to visit The House with The Garden over the weekend.
I already have two A/4 sheets written what we need to bring back with us. The
most important things are: knitting needles and wool. I’d like to knit a
blanket, a baby hat and jumpers for baby Paul Theodor :-) alias baby PT as our lovely
friend Kerst calls him :-)
Expecting a baby comes with many hospital tests and all
sorts of things we need to buy. We decided to become Eco Warrior parents and
use Patapum washable nappies: http://www.minimano.hu/termekeink/higienia/moshato_nadrag_pelenka/patapum_moshato_pelenka_lila.html Will most likely write about how it works.
Also changed washing liquid for soap nut shells, fabric softener to vinegar and
lavender oil from Tihany: http://www.levendulahaz.eu/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=21&Itemid=81
In the kitchen we banished chemicals and replaced them with
eco-friendly products. That was a must as I became so sensitive for smells that
I could not bear any bleach or kitchen, bathroom cleaner any more, I rather did
not clean than sniff them in.
Vondores: a questionnaire is under preparation about
products and services, so watch this space :-)
See you tomorrow!
Lots of love with the indentation of being back daily as it
used to be!
