Day 594 Dress Stress

Even though I spent almost 6 years at London College of Fashion learning all about patterns, fabrics, silhouettes, textures and shapes, I forgot about something very basic, when designing my wedding dress: the sneaky change of my body shape. Coming up to 38 I’ve recently gone through a bit of a curvy-adventure, hips and thighs wider, arms more 1950’s, and the sudden shock this afternoon when trying on the toile: I am not my university weight any more. Can’t believe I was even told by many people during the last couple of weeks, how much weight I lost. How did I look before then? And how does it come I didn’t realise the weight-gain-game? Anyway, it is time to re-design and making a new toile!
