Lunch: Apple and grape soup with cream, Traditional potato meatball with savoy cabbage sauce. Oh how much I love Hungarian food!
This morning I had to tidy up the living room. This time I didn’t do it on purpose instead of writing the thesis. I simply had to organise the piles of papers laying everywhere on the desk, on the cafĂ© table, on the floor and on the sofa. The whole room started to look like a gigantic, non-functional filing cabinet. It was a great pleasure to sit down to an empty, dusted desk in a hovered room. Everything is organised. It is still a disappointment that I have a lot more material to go through, than I estimated. At the same time, I am a lot more selective in reading. Lack of time always a good encourager to get things done on time. I am more and more surprised every day how much material I got together.
Finally, great news about Mission Year! God is good! I am really looking forward to that 9 months. Everything seems to work out finally. I wish I had known this 6 weeks ago, I would have saved a lot of energy and worry. 1 Peter 1:7(NIV) `These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.` I was tested and I would love to say: all the way I prayed: knowing it would work out and trusted God as it is sais in Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV) `11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.` But I didn`t pray enough and didn’t trust, but I worried, and worried and worried and worried and worried even more. I know now, I do not need to worry no more. It will work out, but no doubt, doubt will come and that is why I need to put on the Armor of God by prayer: Ephesians 6:10-18 (NIV) 10 `Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.` Amen
